After a wonderfully busy and exciting summer, Eatons’ Ranch begins to wind down. With only a few guests left, many of our horses have headed south for Echeta where they will spend the winter. We saw many familiar faces this season and some new ones as well! The Eaton family is always grateful for those who return. We love adding you to our family.
We are still enjoying the beautiful weather that Wyoming has to offer. Our temperatures are ranging from the high 60’s to low 80’s, with sunshine in the day and cooler nights in the 40’s and 50’s. The quintessential blue skies remain as we head into October. Our view is slowly beginning to change colors, as more yellows, reds and oranges emerge in the tree lines.
We have seen a few elk up and behind the corral and on horseback rides. A few guests were lucky and caught a glimpse of a moose! We also expect to see pheasants and grouse as the fall season has commenced. If you take a walk around the ranch, you are almost guaranteed to spot families of deer and big wild turkey meandering between cabins and up by the Wolves Club! While some hunting is underway, eager elk and antelope hunters await the beginning of their season on October 15th .
Thank you to everyone who made it out here this summer and we hope to see those of you who could not make it in the future. We will bundle up for the winter and await the spring, as we prepare to see all of you again!
